Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Description and Operation
Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF)
DESCRIPTION:
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is attached to the air inlet duct between the air cleaner and the throttle body, and is used to measure the amount of air
which passes through it. The ECM uses this information to determine the operating condition of the engine, to control fuel delivery. The MAF sensor is
a component of the computerized engine controls system, for further information see COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS.
