Correction - No Paint Damage
The clearance between the rear bumper fascia and the body sheet metal can be adjusted to correct the condition. Use the following steps to replace the
push pin fastener with a J-nut and bolt.
1. Open the rear compartment lid and locate the upper rear fascia retainers (three per side).
2. Remove the inner upper retainer.
3. Install the J-clip on the bracket as shown.
4. Install the bolt but do not tighten it.
5. Pull the fascia rearward to create an even gap between the fascia and the body.
6. While holding the fascia in position, tighten the fastener.
