Camaro V8-6.2L (2010)
Cause #2 (For Vehicles Built After March 10, 2010)
This condition may be caused by the ETR handle binding on the rear compartment lid carpet.
Correction #2
Use the following steps to install hook and loop material to the ETR handle.
1. Ensure that the ETR handle is pushed fully toward the latch before the hook and loop material is applied.
2. Install a 25 mm x 25 mm (1.0 in X 1.0 in) piece of hook and loop material, such as 3M(TM) Scotchmate Hook and Loop Fastening System*,
P/N051131-06480, or the equivalent, to the ETR handle as shown. This will prevent the ETR handle from moving out of position when not in use.
