Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement
Removal Procedure
Note: Introducing too much air into the power steering system will increase the amount of time required to bleed the system. Be sure to maintain
fluid in the reservoir throughout this procedure.
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging)
2. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Radiator
Replacement)
3. Disconnect the air conditioning compressor hose from the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (See: Hose/Line
HVAC/Service and Repair/Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement)
4. Disconnect the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube from the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal

5. Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose form the power steering cooler. Plug the power steering cooler. Plug the power steering gear outlet
hose. Refer to Power Steering Gear Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement (See: Maintenance/Hoses/Power Steering Line/Hose/Service and
Repair/Power Steering Gear Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement)
6. Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler outlet hose from the power steering cooler. Plug the power steering cooler outlet hose. Refer to Fluid

)
7. Remove the air conditioning condenser bolts (1).
8. Remove the air conditioning condenser (2).
