LOOSE PULLSTRAPS ON 1BN35, 47 AND 69

Model and Year: 1986 - 87 CAPRICE CLASSIC
TO:

ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

All 1986 and some 1987 Caprice Classic vehicles, (built prior to the following VIN HA100009), may have loose door pullstraps from the door inner
panel.  If this condition is encountered, it can be repaired by replacing the attaching screws with new part number 11507070 (tapping 6.3 x 181 x 30), or
its equivalent, by removing 2.5 mm from the boss height.

Service Procedure

1.

Remove pullstrap.

2.

Remove 2.5 mm from boss, (see figure).

3.

Remove rough edges from boss.

4.

Install pullstrap using new screws, (part number 11507070 or equivalent).
