13. Install Powermaster body in vise.
CAUTION:Do not clamp across Powermaster body.
14. Remove reservoir (33) using pry bar (45).
15. Remove reservoir grommets (34 and 35).
16. Remove valve seat and seal (36) and discard.
NOTE: To remove valve seat tap "easy out" into seat and pull straight out.
17. Remove poppet (37) and spring (38) and discard.
Without Powermaster
Exploded View Of Composite Master Cylinder
1. Remove master cylinder from vehicle.
2. Remove reservoir cover and diaphragm. Discard old brake fluid in reservoir.
3. Inspect cover and diaphragm. Replace if cut, cracked or deformed.
4. Depress primary piston and remove lock ring.
5. Plug primary fluid outlet (outlet nearest to cowl when master cylinder is installed), then apply compressed air into secondary fluid outlet to remove
primary and secondary pistons.
6. Remove spring retainer and seals from secondary piston.
