Torque Converter Clutch: Testing and Inspection
Quick Vacuum Response Valve (QVRV)

1.

Connect vacuum gauge in line between GVWR valve output and operated device and connect suitable vacuum pump to GVWR input port.

2.

Apply 22 inches Hg vacuum to valve while observing gauge. Output vacuum should be approximately 20.7 inches Hg within 1.7 seconds.

3.

Reduce vacuum at input side of valve to 0.9 inches Hg while observing gauge. Output vacuum should equalize within 0.5 second.

4.

If valve fails to perform as outlined, replace valve.
