THM 200C or THM 200-4R which has the former flat surface pan, refer to Chevrolet Dealer Service Bulletin 83-117 Section 7A dated Dec., 1983 or
Chevrolet Dealer Service Bulletin 84-107 Section 7A dated April, 1984 (THM 200-4R) which review installation of a raised rib pan.
Some service overhaul packages may contain a latex-coated cork (soft material) gasket, which should not be used with a raised rib pan. The new hard
fiber material gasket can be ordered separately using the appropriate part number listed below.

When replacing the oil pan gasket it is critical that a torque wrench is used to tighten the hex head pan screws. Hand torque all THM 200-4R hex head
screws 8-14 N-m. (6-10 ft.lb.) and all THM 200C hex head screws 10-16 N-m. (7-12 ft.lb.). This is a new torque specification for the oil pan bolts on the
THM 200C.
