Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
Mark position of steering wheel in relation to shaft prior to removal to ensure correct installation.
CUSHIONED RIM WHEEL
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Pry off horn button cap.
3.
Remove three spacer screws, spacer, plate and belleville spring.
4.
Remove steering wheel nut, washer and snap ring.
5.
Using a suitable puller, remove steering wheel.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.

STANDARD WHEEL
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove attaching screws on underside of the steering wheel, Fig. 10.
3.
Lift steering wheel shroud and pull horn wires from cancelling cam tower.
4.
Remove steering wheel nut, washer and snap ring.
5.
Using a suitable puller, remove steering wheel.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
