Air Injection Pump Relay: Description and Operation

Secondary Air Pump Circuit.

PURPOSE

The PCM controls operation of the electric air pump relay which in turn controls air availability to the air injection system.

OPERATION

The PCM completes the ground to the coil side of the relay. The relay in turn activates the electric air pump.

LOCATION

The A.I.R. electric Air Pump relay is located in the underhood electrical center.
