Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Repair Instructions
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J 38892 Ball Joint Separator
-
J 28733-B Front Hub Spindle Remover
1. Remove the hub and bearing assembly (1). Refer to WHEEL BEARING AND WHEEL HUB REPLACEMENT.
2. Remove the bolts (6) attaching the steering knuckle (3) to the strut (1).
3. Remove the cotter pin (1).
4. Remove the nut (4) from the ball joint (3).
5. Use the J 38892 in order to separate the ball joint (3) from the knuckle (2).
6. Remove the knuckle (2).
