REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Air cleaner to throttle body duct.
3. Electrical connectors from Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and Throttle Position (TP) sensor.
4. Vacuum hoses at throttle body.
5. Accelerator cable bracket attaching nut and bolts.
6. Throttle, cruise, and transmission control cables.
7. Power brake vacuum hose at throttle body.
8. Throttle body attaching bolt and stud.
9. Loosen throttle body from manifold.

10. Throttle body gasket.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. New throttle body gasket.
2. Throttle body attaching bolt and stud. Tighten throttle body attaching bolts to  26 Nm (19 lb. ft.)
3. Power brake vacuum hose at throttle body.
4. Throttle, cruise, and transmission control cables to throttle body.
5. Accelerator cable bracket attaching nut and bolts. 

Tighten
-

Nut to 26 Nm (19 lb. ft.)

-

Bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb. in.)

6. Vacuum hoses to throttle body.
7. Electrical connectors to IAC and TP sensors.
8. Air cleaner to throttle body duct.
9. Negative battery cable.

Inspect
With the engine "OFF," check to see that the accelerator pedal is free.

10. Reset IAC valve pintle position:

A. Turn ignition switch to the "ON" position (engine "OFF").
B. Turn ignition "OFF" for ten seconds.
C. Start engine and check for proper idle operation.
