If replacement of the oil strainer during transaxle service is necessary, remove the original seal from the case and use the new
seal provided in the kit.
2.
Always install the seal in the case first when installing the replacement oil strainer and seal assembly.
IMPORTANT:
Use the correct seal based on the design of the oil strainer filler neck. The O-ring seal is used with the
short-shouldered neck, the lip seal is used with the long-shouldered neck.
Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for removal and installation procedures.
