A condition of engine flare or transmission slippage during vehicle turns may be repaired by installing a new filter.

The filter with a new inlet and baffle design entered production April 6, 1987, (Julian date 096, Figure 1).
Check for proper fluid level and correct, as necessary. If the flare still occurs, remove the bottom pan and replace the filter and seal with a new filter and
seal package listed below.
