Camshaft: Service and Repair
1.
Remove cam cover.
2.
Remove timing belt as described in ``Timing Belt, Replace.''
3.
Remove camshaft gear as described in ``Timing Belt, Replace.''
4.
Remove rocker arm shaft assembly as described in ``Rocker Arm Shaft Assembly, Replace.''
5.
Remove bolts attaching front head plate and remove.
6.
Remove the camshaft bearing cap bolts, then remove bearing caps with cap side bearing.
7.
Remove camshaft oil seal followed by the camshaft.
8.
Install camshaft oil seal, camshaft and rocker arm shaft assembly. Loosen rocker arm adjustment screws so the rocker arms are in a free state.
Reverse procedure from step five to reinstall.
