If the fuel pump tests to specifications (refer to illustration B), then fabricate a 1.0 mm restrictor from brass and install it in the
return line as shown in illustration A.
NOTICE:
Use only the 1.0 mm restrictor on 1982 model year vehicles.
1983 Celebrity or Citation
On 1983 vehicles only, follow steps #1 and #2. In addition, verify that a 1.5 mm I.D. brass restrictor or thermal valve is in the return line. If no restrictor
or thermal valve is present, then install either restrictor, P/N 14064187, or thermal valve, P/N 14077716.
