Hood Latch Release Cable: Service and Repair

Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the hood.

2. Remove the release cable from the latch. Note the routing of the hood cable in the engine compartment for installation.
3. Tape a 2 m (7 ft) length of wire to the latch end of the cable.

4. Inside the vehicle, remove the left front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement (Coupe) Front Carpet Retainer Replacement

(Sedan).
