Colorado 2WD L4-2.8L VIN 8 (2004)
4. Install the oil pan and a new gasket.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the oil pan bolts.

Tighten the oil pan to transmission case bolts alternately and evenly to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
6. Remove the container used to catch the used transmission fluid from under the vehicle.
7. Position the transmission range selector cable bracket to the transmission.
8. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket bolts.

Tighten the transmission range selector cable bracket bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
9. Adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON III transmission fluid.
12. Check the COLD fluid level reading for initial fill only.
13. Inspect the oil pan gasket for leaks.
