Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Engine
Removal Procedure
Important: Clean the tube connections and surrounding areas before disconnecting in order to avoid possible evaporative emission (EVAP)
system contamination.
1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake
Manifold/Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the engine EVAP line (1) quick connect fitting from the intake manifold. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (See:
Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Disconnect the engine EVAP line (1) quick connect fitting from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect
Fitting Service (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
4. Cap the intake manifold port and the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve in order to prevent possible EVAP system contamination.
