Condition
On certain 2008 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles equipped with P205 (RPO QCE) and P265 (RPO QWU) tires. the sensitivity of the
Traction Control System (TCS) may be increased. This condition can cause the TCS to activate earlier than expected. During this time, the TCS warning
light will flash, indicating that the system is active. Once the vehicle is driven at a speed of 21 km/h (13 mph) or greater for 4 seconds, the condition will
be corrected but may occur again the next time the vehicle is started.
Correction
Dealers are to reprogram the engine control module (ECM).
Vehicles Involved
Involved are certain 2008 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles equipped with P205 (RPO QCE) and P265 (RPO QWU) tires and built within
the VIN breakpoints shown.
Important:
Dealers are to confirm vehicle eligibility prior to beginning repairs by using the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (GMVIS). Not all vehicles within the
above breakpoints may be involved.
For dealers with involved vehicles, a listing with involved vehicles containing the complete vehicle identification number, customer name, and address
information has been prepared and will be provided through the applicable system listed below. Dealers will not have a report available if they have no

Calibration Information
Do not attempt to order the calibration number from GMSPO. The calibration numbers required for this service procedure are programmed into control
modules via a Techline Tech 2(R) scan tool and TIS 2 Web with the calibration update. Use TIS 2 Web version 7.5 for 2007 or later (available on
