Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

DOOR HANDLE REPLACEMENT - REAR OUTSIDE

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
2. Remove the rear door speaker.
3. Remove the rear inside door handle.
4. Remove the rear door water deflector.

5. Disconnect the rear outside door handle rod by releasing the retaining clip (1).
6. Remove the bolts retaining the rear outside door handle to the door.
7. Remove the rear outside door handle from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the rear outside door handle to the rear door.

2. NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice.

Install the bolts retaining the rear outside door handle to the door.

Tighten the outside door handle bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Connect the rear outside door handle rod to the door handle using the retaining clip (1).
4. Install the rear door water deflector.
5. Install the rear inside door handle.
6. Install the rear door speaker.
