7. Separate the brake rotor from the wheel bearing/hub assembly.
8. Clean the surface between the wheel bearing/hub assembly and the brake rotor.
Installation Procedure
Important: Whenever the brake rotor has been separated from the hub/axle flange, any rust of contaminants should be cleaned from the hub/axle flange
and the brake rotor mating surfaces. Failure to do this may result in excessive assembled runout (LRO) of the brake rotor, which could lead to brake
pulsation.
1. Clean all rust and contaminants from the mating surfaces of the hub and rotor.
2. Inspect the mating surfaces of the hub.axle flange and the rotor to ensure there are no foreign particles or debris remaining.
3. Position the wheel bearing/hub on the brake rotor.
