Wiring Harness: Customer Interest
Body - Rattle Noise From Under Vehicle

TECHNICAL

Bulletin No.: 08-08-59-002

Date: July 18, 2008

Subject:
Rattle, Noise from Inside Vehicle (Secure Wire Harness Connector by ABS Brake Line)

Models:
2006-2008 Chevrolet Colorado
2006-2008 GMC Canyon

Condition

Some customers may comment on a rattle, noise from under the vehicle.

Cause

This may be caused by interaction between the connector and the ABS brake line under the hood. The connector rosebud may not be fully seated to the
body.

The figure above shows the location of the connector. Note that the connector rosebud (1) is out of place. In most cases, the connector will be partially
seated, causing a possible interaction between the connector and the ABS brake line.

Correction

Technicians are to fully seat the connector in place and verify that there is clearance between the connector and brake line to avoid future contact.

Warranty Information

For vehicles repaired under warranty, use the table above.
