Colorado 4WD V8-5.3L (2010)
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
1. Install the oil filter adapter (438).
Tighten the adapter to 55 Nm (40 lb ft).
2. Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil.
3. Install the oil filter (437).
Tighten the filter to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Refill the engine oil. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities (See: Maintenance/Specifications) and/or Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations
(USA and Canada) (See: Maintenance).
6. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
