Intake Manifold Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement   (See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air

Cleaner Housing/Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose/Service and Repair).

2. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LLV/LLR)   (See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and

Repair/Generator Replacement)Generator Replacement (LH8)   (See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and
Repair/Generator Replacement).

3. Remove the engine harness retainer nut (1).
4. Remove the engine harness retainer from the stud and locator pin.
5. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (2) from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid.
6. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.
