Seat Belts - Stained By Acoustic Patch Material

FRONT SEAT BELTS STAINED BY ACOUSTIC PATCH MATERIAL

ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

Some 1987-88 Beretta and Corsica Models front seat belts may be stained by acoustic patch sealer. The patch is located above the seat belt retractors.

If owner comments on stained front seat belts are received, the following procedure should be used for both driver and passenger front seat belts, even if
only one side has this condition.

1.

Remove trim as required to gain access to seat belt retractors. (See Shop Manual)

2.

Remove acoustic patch from retractor area and clean area completely of all acoustic patch material on both left and right sides. DO NOT replace
acoustic patch.

3.

Install new seat belt assembly per instructions in shop Manual if webbing is stained.
