Some customers of the specified Corsica/Beretta may comment about a noise (squeak) during garage take off, when turning the vehicle, start-up or
shut-down of the engine, or when traveling over bumps. The noise may be coming from the exhaust seal located between the exhaust manifold and the
exhaust pipe (as shown in Figures 1 and 2). To eliminate this noise condition a new exhaust seal is available through GMSPO. Refer to "Service Parts
Information" in this bulletin for the proper replacement part number. The proper removal and installation procedure follows:
Vehicles built after the following VIN number will have the new exhaust.

Remove or Disconnect
1.
Raise vehicle. Refer to General Information (Section 0A) of the 1990 or 1991 Corsica/Beretta Service Manual.
2.
Exhaust pipe to manifold springs and nuts.
3.
Pull exhaust pipe down for access to exhaust seal.
4.
Exhaust seal.
