Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose: Service and Repair

Air Cleaner Assembly

OUTLET DUCT
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. IAT sensor electrical connector.
2. Air cleaner outlet duct clamps.
3. Air cleaner outlet duct resonator from grommet.

NOTE: If air cleaner outlet duct is to be replaced remove IAT sensor from duct, and install into new duct.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Position resonator onto grommet and outlet duct onto air cleaner and throttle body. Tighten clamp to 4-5 Nm (35-44 lb. in.).
2. IAT sensor electrical connector.

RESONATOR
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Battery from vehicle.
2. Snorkel duct and intermediate duct.
3. Bolts/screws (2) from battery tray and lower tie bar.
4. Resonator.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Reverse removal procedure. Tighten resonator bolts/screws to 6 Nm (53 lb. in.).
