Hood Hinge: Service and Repair

CAUTION: When a hood hold-open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or
personal injury.

NOTE: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent damage.

Hood Hinge Replacement: Installation Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Scribe the location of the hinge to the hood and the rail.
2. Remove the hood struts.

3. Support the hood in a partially open position so that access is provided to the forward bolt attaching the hinge to the hood.
4. Remove the bolts attaching the hinge to the hood.
