12. Remove the trans jack from the crossmember.
13. Install the lower control arm ball joint studs into the lower control arms.
a. Tighten the lower control arm ball joint stud nuts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.) to seat the ball joint stud.
b. Turn the ball joint stud nut an additional 3 1/2 flats.
c. Check the ball joint stud nut for a minimum final torque of 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
14. Install the shock absorbers onto the lower control arms.

Tighten the shock absorber nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
15. Install the power steering gear onto the crossmember.

Tighten the power steering gear mounting bolts to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
16. Connect the intermediate shaft onto the steering gear. Refer to Intermediate Shaft. See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column
17. Center the power steering gear.
