Seat Belt Retractor: Service and Repair
Installation Procedures
CAUTION: Replace belts, retractors, and hardware in use during all but a minor collision. Also, restraint systems should be replaced and
anchorage's properly repaired if they were in areas damaged by collision, whether the belt was in use or not. If there is any question, replace
the belt system. Damage, whether visible or not, could result in serious personal injury in the event of an accident.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the upper retractor and attaching bolt.
2. Install the lower retractor and attaching bolt.
TIGHTEN
Tighten the retractor attaching bolts to 46 N.m (34 lb. ft).
3. Install the lock pillar trim panel.
