6. Disconnect the power steering gear inlet hose (2) from the power steering pump (1).

7. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts.
8. Remove the power steering pump and bracket.

Installation Procedure        

1. Install the power steering pump and bracket.
2. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts.

Tighten the power steering pump mounting bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Notice:  Always use the correct fastener In the proper location. When you replace a fastener, use ONLY the exact part number for that
application. The manufacturer will call out those fasteners that require a replacement after removal. The manufacturer will also call out the
fasteners that require thread lockers or thread sealant. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, do not use supplemental coatings (paints, greases,
or other corrosion Inhibitors) on threaded fasteners or fastener joint interfaces. Generally, such coatings adversely affect the fastener torque
and joint clamping force, and may damage the fastener. When you install fasteners, use the correct tightening sequence and specifications.
Following these instructions can help you avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Connect the power steering gear inlet hose (2) to the power steering pump (1).

Tighten the power steering gear inlet hose fitting to the steering pump to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

4. Install the power steering pump pulley. 
5. Install the accessory drive belt. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt
6. Install the power steering reservoir. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir. See: Power Steering Fluid Reservoir
7. Connect the negative battery cable.

Caution:  Disconnect the negative battery cable under the following circumstances:

When installing an electrical unit.

-

When a tool or equipment could easily come into contact with "live" exposed electrical terminals.

Failure to disconnect the negative battery terminal may result in personal injury or damage to the vehicle's components. Turn OFF the vehicle
ignition, unless instructed otherwise. 

8. Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
9. Refill the power steering reservoir.

10. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding Power Steering System. See: Service and Repair
