3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Maintenance/Service Intervals) .

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  .

4. Install a new nut to the crossmember bolt and tighten the nut with hand tools.

Tighten the nut to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the battery heat shield, if necessary. Refer to Battery Heat Shield Replacement  (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and

Repair/Battery Heat Shield Replacement) .
