Removal Procedure
1. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (6.2L) (See: Cylinder Block Assembly/Harmonic Balancer -
Crankshaft Pulley/Service and Repair)Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (7.0L) () .
2. Remove the water pump. Refer to Water Pump Replacement (See: Water Pump/Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the front cover bolts (501).
4. Remove the front cover (502) and gasket (503).
5. Discard the front cover gasket.
6. Clean and inspect the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Cleaning and Inspection (6.2L) (See: Service and Repair/Overhaul)Engine
