Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the right rear wheelhouse panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Panel Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Rear Fender/Rear
Fender Liner/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister access cover.
3. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor by carefully prying the sensor out of the fuel tank with a screwdriver.
Installation Procedure
1. Lubricate the fuel tank pressure sensor rubber grommet with clean engine oil in order to aid in installation.
2. Install the fuel tank pressure sensor into the top of the fuel tank.
3. Connect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the EVAP canister access cover.
5. Install the right rear wheelhouse panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Panel Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Rear Fender/Rear
Fender Liner/Service and Repair) .
