8. Replace the brake caliper bracket if cracked or damaged.
9. Clean all the bolt adhesive residue from the brake caliper mounting bracket and the knuckle mating surfaces.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the brake caliper bracket to the suspension knuckle.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution)

2. Install the 2 NEW brake caliper mounting bracket bolts (1) and washers.

The new brake caliper mounting bracket bolts will come with an adhesive already applied to the threads.

Tighten the brake caliper mounting bracket bolts to 175 Nm (129 lb ft).

3. Lubricate the brake caliper pin bolts with high temperature silicone lubricant.

4. Install the brake pad retainers (2) to the brake caliper bracket (3).
5. Install the brake pads (1) to the brake caliper bracket.

Removal Procedure
Warning:  Refer to Brake Dust Warning   (See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Brake Dust Warning). 
Warning:  Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning   (See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Brake Fluid Irritant Warning). 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).

Caution:  Disc brake rotor protectors MUST be installed prior to tire and wheel assembly removal to avoid ceramic brake rotor damage due to
contact between the tire and wheel assembly and the rotor. If the ceramic brake rotor is damaged replacement may be required.

2. Install the disc brake rotor protectors and remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation   (See:

Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).
