19. Install the clutch master cylinder rod to the clutch pedal.
20. Install the clutch master cylinder rod retainer.
21. Connect the clutch pedal position sensor electrical connector (1).
22. Install the left I/P lower insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair).
23. Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
24. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming (N. America and Japan, except Canada) (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming
and Relearning)Transmitter Programming (Canada and Europe) (See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning)Transmitter

Warning
Replacement or reprogramming of the ECM, or replacement of the clutch pedal position sensor (CPPS) or clutch pedal requires that a CPPS learn
procedure be performed. Failure to perform the CPPS learn procedure may result in personal injury or damage to the vehicle or its components if the
vehicle is in gear and the starter motor is accidentally engaged.
25. Perform the clutch pedal position sensor learn procedure. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Learn (See: Manual
Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Learn).
