Position inboard shoe in caliper so spring ends centrally contact shoe edge. Initially, this will place the shoe on an angle. Push upper edge of shoe
down until shoe is flat against caliper. When properly seated, spring ends will not extend past shoe more than .100 inch.

Position outboard shoe in caliper with shoe ears over caliper ears and tab at bottom of shoe engaged in caliper cutout.

With shoes installed, lift caliper and rest bottom edge of outboard lining on outer edge of brake disc to be sure there is no clearance between
outboard shoe tab and caliper abutment.

Using a 1/4 inch x 1 inch x 2-1/2 inch metal bar to bridge caliper cutout, clamp outboard shoe to caliper with a C-clamp.

Bend both ears of outboard shoe over caliper until clearance between shoe ear and caliper (measured at both the edge and side of the caliper) is
.005 inch or less, Fig. 4.
9.
Remove C-clamp and install caliper.
