Control Arm: Service and Repair
CABALLERO & EL CAMINO
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Support nose of axle housing with suitable jack to prevent assembly from twisting when control arm is removed.
3.
If lower control arm is being replaced, remove stabilizer bar attaching bolts, if equipped.
4.
Remove control arm to chassis and control arm to axle housing retaining bolts, then the control arm.
5.
Reverse procedure to install. Tighten attaching bolts with vehicle at curb height.
