Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
3. Remove the HO2S from the exhaust manifold.

Installation Procedure

Notice:  Silicone based products will contaminate the HO2S. Use only a nickel based anti-seize compound that does not contain silicone.

1. Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads of the HO2S.

Notice:  Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice.

2. Install the HO2S to the exhaust manifold.

Tighten the HO2S to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).
