4. Install the steering gear boot clamp (1).

5. Install the steering gear inner tie rod nuts approximately 174 mm (6.85 in) from the steering gear boot clamp.
6. Install the steering gear. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement (EPS)  (See: )Steering Gear Replacement (HPS)  (See: ) .
7. Install the rack and pinion outer tie rod ends. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement  (See: Tie Rod/Tie Rod End/Service and

Repair) .

8. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding  (See: Power Steering/Power Steering Bleeding/Service and

Repair) .

9. Check the front wheel alignment and adjust as necessary. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement  (See: Alignment/Service and Repair/Wheel

Alignment Measurement) .

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   .
2. Remove the tire assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation  (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair) .
