Rear Axle Shaft Seal Replacement - Left

J 44809 Output Shaft Seal Installer

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the left rear wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the left rear wheel drive shaft.
4. Carefully pry out the output shaft seal and discard.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the new output shaft seal using the J 44809 .
2. Install the left rear wheel drive shaft.
3. Inspect the rear drive module fluid level.
4. Install the left rear wheel and tire assembly.
5. Lower the vehicle.
