Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal and Housing Replacement (Housing)

Removal Procedure 

Important:  Do not remove the crankshaft rear oil seal housing if only replacing the crankshaft rear oil seal.

1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Remove the transmission assembly. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Transmission and Drivetrain.
3. Remove the flywheel.

4. Remove the three bolts and the one nut holding the crankshaft rear oil seal housing to the engine.
5. Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal housing.

6. Remove and discard the crankshaft rear oil seal housing gasket.
7. Clean all sealing surfaces.
8. Inspect the crankshaft rear oil seal housing for warping, cracks, wear, or damage.
