Express 1/2 Ton Van V8-305 5.0L VIN M SFI (1998)
3. Make sure that the number 1 piston is still at TDC of the compression stroke.
4. Align the timing marks on both sprockets.
5. Install the camshaft sprocket and the timing chain.
The sprockets must mesh in order to prevent damage to the camshaft retainer.
6. Install the camshaft sprocket bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
7. Be sure to align the camshaft and the crankshaft sprocket alignment marks.
8. Install the crankshaft position reluctor ring and the engine front cover.
