This bulletin is being revised to correct the labor operation number. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 00-01-38-004 (Section 01 - HVAC).
CONDITION
Some owners may comment on intermittent air conditioning (A/C) system operation.
CAUSE
Like most intermittent conditions, the cause may be a high resistance connection between the wiring harness and a particular electrical component. In this
instance, the high resistance may be caused by moisture intrusion into the wiring harness connector at the Low Pressure switch, which may cause
corrosion of the terminals.

J 35616-A GM Terminal Test Kit

J 38125-B GM Terminal Repair Kit
1. Clean the low pressure switch terminal and the wiring harness connectors with D.P.L. Moisture Displacing Lubricant, GM P/N 1052864 (in
Canada use P/N 10952982) or equivalent.
2. Using the mating terminals found in J 38125-B GM Terminal Repair kit, or J 35616-A GM Terminal Test Kit, test the tension of the wiring
harness terminals. Replace the terminals which do not have the proper tension or show evidence of excessive pitting or corrosion.
3. Lightly coat the mating surfaces of the switch terminals and the wiring harness terminals with a small amount of CLEAN Dielectric Silicone
Grease, GM P/N 12345579 (in Canada use P/N 1974984) or equivalent.
4. Connect the wiring harness connector to the low pressure switch.
5. Test the A/C system for proper operation.
