4. Measure the D height by measuring the distance between the rear axle and the jounce bumper (without Auxiliary Springs only).

5. Measure the D height by measuring the distance between the rear axle and the frame (with auxiliary springs only).
6. Push the front bumper downward to 38 mm (1.5 in).
7. Release the front bumper. Let the vehicle settle into position.
8. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 two more times. Allow the vehicle to settle.
9. Measure the D height be measuring the distance between the rear axle pad and the frame.

The rear suspension trim height should be within 133.35 mm + 13 mm (5.25 in + 0.5 in) for vehicles with auxiliary springs.

The rear suspension trim height should be within 107.95 mm + 13 mm (4.25 in + 0.5 in) for vehicles without auxiliary springs.
10. Average the two D height measurements in order to determine the true D height measurement. The rear suspension trim height should not exceed
13 mm (0.5 in) from side to side.
11. If these measurements are out of specifications, inspect for the following conditions:

Sagging rear leaf springs.
^
Sagging front suspension.
^
Worn rear suspension components, such as leaf spring bushings.
^
Improper tire inflation.
^
Improper weight distribution.
^
Collision damage.
