Condition
Some customers may comment on a rattle or vibration type noise from under the hood. Some may also comment on a slight oil leakage.
Cause
Some oil level indicator ("dipstick") tubes on the models listed above may vibrate/crack and potentially leak oil over a period of time.
The natural frequency of the longer oil level indicator tube required for these models may cause a fatigue cracking over a period of time.
Correction
Install a clip, P/N 15991719, on the engine and transmission oil level indicator tubes for added support. Both tubes are side by side in this area. Position
the clip 133 mm (5-1/4 in) from the top of the transmission oil level indicator tube with the solid face of the clip towards the front of the vehicle. Refer to
the above illustration.
