4. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery.
Tighten
Tighten the battery negative terminal bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
Battery Negative Cable - Auxiliary
BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE REPLACEMENT - AUXILIARY
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the auxiliary battery.
3. Disconnect the negative ground leads from the frame.
4. Remove the battery negative cable from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the battery negative cable to the vehicle.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Connect the negative ground leads to the frame.
Tighten
Tighten the negative ground leads to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. Connect the battery negative cable to the auxiliary battery.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
