Express 3/4 Ton Van V6-4.3L VIN W (1998)
14. Remove the balance shaft drive gear.
15. Remove the camshaft. Refer to Camshaft Removal under Engine Unit Repair.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the camshaft into the engine block. Refer to Camshaft Installation under Engine Unit Repair.
IMPORTANT: Whenever a new camshaft is installed, do the, following procedures:

Change the engine oil.

Change the engine oil filter.
^
Add GM Engine Oil Supplement GM P/N 1052367 or equivalent to the engine oil.
