7.3.

Remove the oil cooler hose assembly. Discard the gasket.

7.4.

Inspect the fittings, connectors and cooler hoses for damage or distortion.

Installation Procedure 

Important:  A distinct snap should be heard when assembling tube ends of the hose assembly to quick connectors. To ensure tube is fully inserted into
the connector, check by giving tube a forceful pull.

1. If equipped with a 6.0L engine. perform the following:

1.1.

Install the oil Cooler hose assembly and new gasket.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1.2.

Install the oil cooler loose adapter bolts (2).
^ Tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).

1.3.

Install the oil cooler hose bracket bolt (1).
^ Tighten the bolt to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

2. If equipped, install the engine shield.
3. Install the engine shield bolts.

^

Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
